Winemaking

At Redwood Hill, we strive to produce wines that are an authentic reflection of place. Our estate vineyard provides the inspiration for this philosophy as we seek to find harmony between our mountain fruit and the natural acidity that comes with our location on the cooler, western front of the Mayacamas Mountains. We are happy to trade less ripeness for more energy in our wines. We employ a minimalist approach in the cellar, gently shepherding the wines through their development. Our goal is to produce balanced wines with regard to fruit, structure and acidity, such that no one element should overwhelm or be diminished.

The result: elegant wines of unique personality and nuance.
